4 ways to demonstrate compassionate care for vulnerable neighbors
1. Call a Client
Illinois is under a Shelter in Place order limiting movement. For the vulnerable clients we serve, this isolation can be overwhelming. Sign up and we will send you a script along with however many names you would like to call. Let's show our neighbors we care.
We have multiple service opportunities. At this time we are fielding virtual service teams to meet with clients by phone or video. We have specific training available. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate your interest in virtual client volunteering. We need attorneys, interpreters and client advocates. We also have special communication and coordination opportunities available. For more about those remote service opportunities e-mail email@example.com.
3. Join us for Compassionate Care & Prayer every Tuesday morning.
Every Tuesday morning from 8:00 - 8:30 am CST we are gathering to share stories and prayer request from our contacted clients. We will provide updates and prayer for our staff and volunteers. And we will pray. There is no greater power than prayer. We are using GoToMeeting:
Please join the meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone.
You can also dial in using your phone.

4. Give the Gift of Access to Justice
The Coronavirus demonstrates how vulnerable we all are. But some remain more vulnerable and will be impacted most by this crisis. Clients pay a $30 administrative fee for services (the only fee we charge). In normal times this is not a barrier. These are not normal times. Help a client. Contribute $30 to provide them access to justice.
Did you know the CARES Act provides a $300 reduction to your taxable income regardless of whether you itemize? Support 10 clients AND reduce your tax liability. Thank you.
